Tate Modern Turns Ten

Tate Modern turns 10 on 12 May 2010, 

 and, to celebrate, Tate Modern invites

 you to contribute the ten best images

 you’ve taken of Tate Modern and in

 Turbine Hall.

 As part of their 10th birthday 

 celebrations, the folks there are also

 planning a short film that tells the

 story of Tate Modern.

 Some  images posted to the Flickr 

 group before April 16th 2010 may

 be selected to be included in the

Tate Modern is 10 film.

The annual American PHOTO Images of the Year event is an

international competition that that showcases the very best of

contemporary photography. This juried photo contest offers

exposure to both established and emerging photographers in a

wide range of fields, from documentary/photojournalism to

cutting-edge commercial work, and will provide an opportunity

for peer review of your work by professional photographers,

museum curators, art critics and editors.


Categories include photojournalism/documentary, 

advertising/editorial, and personal and student work.


A new category is Extreme, which will highlight the passion of

photographers who actively participate in life’s adventures.


Deadline: Entries must be postmarked no later than midnight, October 12th, 2009.

Snap to Grid — Call for Entries

The Los Angeles Center for Digital Art is hosting an unjuried show open to all featuring digital art and photography. The show’s name is ‘Snap to Grid’ and all entries will be printed on heavyweight paper and shown in the gallery arranged in a grid. The show dates are November 12th through December 5th, 2009.


Deadline: October 19th, 2009.


This is an international call for submissions, so early entry is advised,

as the exhibit is limited to space available.
